On day four, you’ll journey to Ouarzazate, a city with a cinematic history, and visit famous film studios and historic kasbahs. The trip concludes with a scenic drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi N Tichka pass, offering stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains.

Your journey begins in Marrakech, where you’ll set off in the morning. As you head southeast, you’ll traverse the picturesque High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass. Along the way, make sure to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and you’ll have the opportunity to stop at viewpoints to capture some stunning photographs.Â

One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its well-preserved mud-brick architecture. Explore this historic gem and immerse yourself in its rich history.Â

Afterward, continue your journey towards the Dades Valley, where you can admire the dramatic landscapes of the valley, known for its impressive canyons and lush oases. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel or traditional riad in the Dades Valley, where you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.Â

Wake up in the Dades Valley, and after a hearty breakfast, set out for Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Todra Gorge, a towering canyon with sheer rock walls that are popular among rock climbers. Take some time to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of the gorge.Â

As you approach Merzouga, you’ll start to see the iconic sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your desert camp. Your evening will be filled with traditional Moroccan hospitality, including a delicious dinner and the opportunity to experience the magic of the desert night. You’ll sleep under the starry Sahara sky in your desert camp.Â
The third day begins with a quintessential desert experience – witnessing the sunrise over the sand dunes. This magical moment is a highlight of the trip, and you’ll have the chance to capture some incredible photos.Â

After breakfast at the camp, it’s time to explore the Merzouga area. You can choose to take a camel trek through the dunes, guided by knowledgeable locals who will introduce you to the desert’s secrets. Alternatively, opt for a 4×4 tour to explore the diverse landscapes, including seasonal lakes and oases, old Vegan’s mines (eyeshadow), Nomad families in their natural habitat, and visiting KHAMLIA village (Blacks’ village You’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle).

In the afternoon, return to Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel. You can unwind and appreciate the serenity of the desert surroundings.Â
Depart from Merzouga after breakfast and embark on the journey to Ouarzazate. This drive will take you through the Draa Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and stunning landscapes. The town of Tazzarine is a charming stop along the way.Â

Upon reaching Ouarzazate, take time to explore this city, which is often referred to as the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its Atlas Film Studios and use as a backdrop for many famous movies. You can visit the Taourirt Kasbah, an impressive mud-brick fortress, and explore the film studios where movies like “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones” were filmed.Â

You’ll spend the night in Ouarzazate, where you can enjoy Moroccan cuisine and the city’s unique atmosphere.
 On the final day of your journey, depart from Ouarzazate in the morning, and start your return journey to Marrakech. The drive back takes you through the stunning Tizi N Tichka pass, where you can once again admire the panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.Â
